Three brought to hospital after shooting on Heritage Hill Drive

LAKEVILLE – Three people, including two Lakeville Police Department officers, were brought to a hospital after a shooting at a Heritage Hill Drive home on Saturday, Sept. 26.

There is no ongoing threat to the public, according to a statement from the Lakeville Police Department.

Lakeville Police officers arrived at the house after receiving reports of a "disturbed person" who may have been under the influence bearing a firearm, according to the statement. The officers were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m., according to police scanner data.

An officer-involved shooting occurred during the response.

The officers provided aid to an injured man, who was then brought to a hospital. Two Lakeville Police officers received evaluations at the hospital.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police detectives are currently investigating the incident.
