Judith "Judy" A. (Bendell) Young, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at the Boston Medical Center in Brighton, following a brief illness. Born on March 1, 1937, in Brockton, MA, Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Frank G. and Hazel M. (Rogers) Bendell, and the beloved wife of the late Douglas A. Young.
A resident of Lakeville for the past 58 years, Judy dedicated over 30 years of her career as a supervisor of data processing at Goddard Medical. Her passion for her work was matched only by her love for people. Judy had a remarkable ability to connect with those around her, establishing lasting friendships and leaving an indelible impact on many lives. She was a source of warmth and affection, and her presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Judy is survived by her devoted daughter, Cheri Gauthier and her husband Joe, her son Bryan Young, and his wife Beth-Anne, as well as her cherished grandchildren - Samantha, Jessica, Jenna, Danielle, Benjamin, and Grace - and eight loving great-grandchildren, and her sister Mary Woodman.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 12:30PM. In this time of mourning, let us all gather to celebrate Judy's life, her kindness, and the profound love she shared with those around her.
