Program set on preparing for extreme weather

MIDDLEBORO -- Sustainable Middleboro is hosting a program, “Preparing for Extreme Weather,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at the Middleboro Council on Aging, 558 Plymouth St.

The free workshop will look at how to prepare for weather conditions such as flooding, drought, extreme storms, fires, and wind.

The program will feature Dr. Kristin Burkholder, environmental science professor and associate dean at Stonehill College, and Audrey Matthews, senior climate planner at Southeast Regional Planning and Economic Development District.
