Oak Point gets into the holiday spirit

MIDDLEBORO -- The North Middleboro parade was not the only procession in town on July 4.

The Oak Point July Fourth parade stepped off at noon. The parade was led by vehicles from the Middleboro Police and Fire departments that drove over when the North Middleboro parade ended.

Red, white and blue were in abundance as residents drove decorated golf carts around the facility.

The parade provided a lot of fun for participants, organizers noted, and raised money for the Oak Point Homeowners Scholarship Fund and the Oak Point Veterans Post. 

Oak Point is a 55-plus community located at 200 Oak Point Drive.
