Middleboro men charged with sex crimes around World Cup games
MIDDLEBORO -- Two Middleboro men were arrested on child sex charges during an investigation of possible child exploitation before, during and after World Cup matches.
Kenneth M. Berry, 45, and Trevon Hubbard, 31, both of Middleboro, were charged with sex for a fee with a child under 18, enticement of a child under 16, and attempted rape of a child, the FBI reported.
They were among seven people facing identical charges as part of FBI Boston’s Child Exploitation–Human Trafficking Task Force’s ongoing efforts to address human trafficking and the sexual exploitation, the FBI reported.
FBI Boston’s special agents and task force officers, working with Massachusetts State Police, made the arrests.
The East Bridgewater, New Bedford, Peabody, and Randolph Police Departments, who belong to the FBI Boston’s Child Exploitation–Human Trafficking Task Force, contributed to this operation, the FBI said.
Boston Police, Brockton Police, Massachusetts State Police, and FBI Albany Division also assisted.
The Middleboro men were arraigned in Brockton District Court.
No further details about the charges were immediately available.
