Teen receives life-threatening injuries in Lakeville crash

LAKEVILLE -- A 17-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and a woman was also hurt in a motor vehicle crash near Pond Cemetery on Bedford Street Thursday July 30, Lakeville fire officials reported.
Both people were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital following the accident, which was reported just after 2 p.m.
Due to the severity of the man’s injuries, four firefighters were dedicated to his care, Fire Chief Michael O’Brien said. He is being treated in the intensive care unit at St. Luke's Hospital, the chief said.
The woman’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, the chief said.
They were riding in a pick-up truck, the chief said, and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
