Lawrence J. "Larry" Pasalacqua, 72
Lawrence J. "Larry" Pasalacqua, of Middleboro, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2026, at the age of 72.
Born on October 26, 1953, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Larry was the beloved son of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Pasalacqua. He grew up in Easton, MA, and graduated from Oliver Ames High School.
Larry dedicated 43 years of his career to Bay State Gas, where he worked as a draftsman. He was known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to his profession. Above all, Larry was one of the hardest-working, most loving, and devoted husbands, fathers, grandfathers, brothers, and friends anyone could know.
Always willing to lend a helping hand, Larry had a true passion for fixing just about anything. Whether repairing something around the house, tackling a home improvement project, helping a neighbor, or finding a solution to a difficult problem, he approached every task with skill, patience, and determination. No challenge was too great, and he found genuine satisfaction in making things work again. His generosity and willingness to help others reflected the kind of person he was. Larry's warm smile, kind heart, and friendly nature allowed him to connect effortlessly with people. He had a remarkable gift for turning strangers into lifelong friends.
Larry found great joy in gardening and took immense pride in creating and caring for his beautiful yard. He loved giving his vegetables from his garden to family, friends, and neighbors, believing that a good harvest was meant to be enjoyed by everyone. After a long day of hard work, one of his favorite ways to unwind was to relax in his Adirondack chair, listening to his favorite tunes—always nice and loud—as he admired the beauty while surrounded by good company.
Larry will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 49 years, Diane Pasalacqua; his son, Michael Pasalacqua and his wife, Bridget; his daughter, Jessica Nighswander and her husband, Andrew; and his cherished grandchildren, Hana, Elsie, Samuel, and Lily.
He is also survived by his brother, James Pasalacqua; his sister, Sandra Rizzo; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Larry's legacy of kindness, generosity, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Larry's life on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Loon Pond Lodge, 28 Precinct Street, Lakeville, Massachusetts.
