Bruce Edward Wager, 76
Jul 10, 2026
Bruce Edward Wager of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania and a true patriot died peacefully on July 4, 2026. He was 76.
He was born on August 7, 1949 in Middleboro, son of the late John E. and Evelyn M. (Kelly) Wager, attending local schools. A proud United States Army veteran, Bruce served our country during the Vietnam War (1966 until 1969) in participating in the Tet Offensive of 1968. He entered the service at the age of 17. Freedom and honor were paramount to him. His passing on Independence Day is significant. While at Fort Drum (New York) for summer camp, Bruce was picked-up by his brother, Jerry (who was serving with Army Aviation Company at Otis AFB) who took him and their brother, Gordon on a mission flight. This amazing experience made Bruce an instant celebrity amongst the others in his unit. Locally, Bruce served in the Artillery Unit for several years.
Bruce maintained a strong work ethic and prior to his retirement, he devoted many years to the prominent department store, JC Penney working as a High Lift Operator. A Christian, Bruce loved the Lord.
Bruce loved his family and that love was returned. Beloved brother of Jerry Wager of Warwick, RI, Janice DeMoranville of Lakeville, Gordon Wager of Brockton, Karen Jones of Middleboro, Douglas Wager of Taunton, Brian Wager of Middleboro, Scott Wager of Middleboro, Cheryl Griswald of Bangor, ME, Tracy Delano of Carver, Lynn Wager and Philip Wager both of Middleboro.
