Visitors to the fourth annual tea at the Lakeville library enjoyed a variety of blends and snack choices on Oct. 25.
The tea served as a chance to relax on a Sunday afternoon, those attending said.
Friends Sasha Camacho and Gloria Healey wore their Sunday best.
“It sounded like something different,’’ Healey said of her decision to attend.
This was a chance to “have a good time and look pretty,’’ Camacho added.
The event benefits the Friends of the Lakeville Library, which sponsors guest speakers, discounted museum passes and other activities.
The cause was a draw for many of the tea drinkers.
“I came to support the library,’’ said Nancy Richmond. “I love going to teas, they’re very traditional.’’
Mary Jane Johnson said she enjoyed spending time in the “beautiful library’’ and showing her support.
Besides, she noted, a more typical Sunday afternoon activity was benched.
“The Patriots aren’t playing,’’ she said with a chuckle, noting their schedule had them on the field Thursday and her afternoon clear to sip and support.
