East Middleboro 4-H Fair celebrates 75th anniversary Sept. 5, 6
A Middleboro tradition returns for the 75th year this Labor Day weekend.
The 75th East Middleboro 4-H Fair will take place 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6 at the fairgrounds, 183 Thompson St.
The East Middleboro 4-H Club was founded in 1950 and is recognized as the oldest 4-H club in the state,
Activities include a country auction on Saturday and the annual costume parade, followed by a tractor parade, on Sunday,
This year also marks the return of the chili cook-off featuring 4-H cooking club members!
In the schoolhouse, 4-H members display their talents as they compete for ribbons. In the mornings, breakfast is served, followed by many animal shows.
The East Middleboro 4-H Fair is sponsored and presented solely by volunteers. Most of the volunteers are members of the East Middleboro Community Committee or 4-H members and their families and friends.
