Stay out of the cold with cool events at Middleboro library
MIDDLEBORO — The Middleboro Public Library has several upcoming events in January and is seeking public input on whether and when to offer Spanish classes.
The next session of Yoga at the Library with instructor Paige Hogg takes place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. Hogg is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who specializes in restorative and vinyasa styles.
All levels are encouraged to attend. Those attending are asked to bring a yoga mat and water to class. Several mats will be available to borrow for those who don’t have one.
Registration is required and can be done by visiting https://calendar.midlib.org/event/yoga-library-1492.
The next session will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The library staff is exploring the idea of offering two, eight-week, hour-long classes for adults.
One class would be offered in person and would be for those with no Spanish-speaking ability at all. The group would meet from 6 to 7 p.m. at the library.
A virtual conversation group for those with basic speaking skills who want to improve would meet online Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.
Enrollment for each class would be limited to allow for more personalized instruction.
