Michael James Duphily, 44

Jul 31, 2025
It is with profound sadness, yet steadfast hope in the promises of Jesus Christ, that we announce the passing of Michael James Duphily, age 44, who went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts, on July 17, 1980, Michael was the beloved son of the late Richard and Patricia (Klaila) Duphily. He was a gentle soul with a quiet strength, known for his kind heart, loyal spirit, and deep love for his family.

Michael is survived by his brother Timothy Duphily and his wife Jennifer of South Carolina, and by his sister-in-law Allison Duphily of Middleboro. He was a devoted uncle to Logan, Emma, Richard, Ava, Isabella, and Timothy Duphily, each of whom he loved dearly. Michael is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished his presence in their lives.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Duphily, and his beloved parents, Richard and Patricia Duphily.

Though our hearts grieve deeply, we find comfort in knowing that Michael is now at peace, reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him, and embraced in the everlasting arms of his Savior. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” (John 11:25) We hold fast to that promise, trusting that this goodbye is only temporary, and that we will one day rejoice together in heaven.

Michael’s life, though far too short, was meaningful, loved, and eternally significant. He will be missed beyond words, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him—and we await with hope the day we see him again.

Visiting hours on August 9, 2025 (Saturday) from 12 Noon until 3 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.  A funeral service will be held during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
