LAKEVILLE -- The Lakeville Police Department is investigating a pipe bomb that was found Saturday afternoon in the area of Egger Bog Pond, the department reported.
At about 12:38 p.m. Saturday, May 16, Lakeville Police were notified that an individual located what appeared to be a pipe bomb on the edge of Egger Bog Pond off of Highland Road.
The State Police Bomb Squad was called in and confirmed the item was a PVC pipe bomb.
Members of the squad safely disposed of the bomb.
Lakeville Police Det. Robert Schiffer is leading Lakeville Police’s investigation into this incident.
