Pianist to perform free concert at Middleboro church

MIDDLEBORO -- Pianist Wayman Chin will perform a free concert at UU Middleboro, 25 South Main St., Middleboro, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.

Chin has performed in venues across the United States, Asia, and the United Kingdom.

An advocate of contemporary music, Chin has premiered a number of new works by noted composers including Scott Wheeler, Marti Epstein, Meyer Kupferman, Jeremy Van Buskirk, and Paul Brust.

He holds degrees from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School and Yale University. He has served on the faculty at the Longy School of Music since 1994, served as the Dean of the Conservatory from 2008 to 2020, served as chair of the Chamber Music Program, and in 2020 was named Dean Emeritus
