Middleboro man faces sex related charges against minor
BROCKTON -- A Middleboro resident and former Brockton middle school employee faces 14 charges, including enticing a child under 16 and posing a child in the nude, according to Brockton District Court records.
Nathan Kellum, who worked at Ashfield Middle School in Brockton, was charged with distributing obscene matter to a minor, four counts of enticing a child under 16, posing or exhibiting a child in the nude, four counts of assault and battery and four counts of attempting to commit a crime.
The details of the alleged crimes are not available because the police reports and other related information have been sealed.
Kellum pleaded not guilty at his arraignment May 8 in Brockton District Court.
The district attorney’s office requested he be held on $50,000 bail, remain on home confinement with GPS monitoring and have no contact with the victim, any children younger than 16.and avoid Ashfield Middle School.
Judge Michael Vitali set his bail at $5,000. Kellum was ordered to be on GPS confinement and not allowed near the alleged victim or the school. He faces a curfew of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and must have no contact with children younger than 16.
His bail was posted and he faces a probable cause hearing May 27.
