Christine Anne (Jeffery) Donoghue, 70
Christine Anne (Jeffery) Donoghue, lovingly known as Tina, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at The Residence at Five Corners in North Easton, with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 70 years old. Born on June 28, 1955, in Middleboro, Massachusetts, Tina was the cherished daughter of the late Robert L. and Marjory J. (Attwood) Jeffery.
A lifelong resident of Middleboro, Tina was a proud graduate of Middleborough High School, where she showcased her talents as an avid tennis player, a basketball enthusiast, a gifted pianist, and a dedicated lifeguard. Continuing her pursuit of education, she attended the University of Maine before returning home to complete her studies at Bridgewater State College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 1977.
Tina devoted her career to education, serving as an elementary school teacher for the Town of Middleborough for over 30 years, primarily teaching first grade until her retirement in 2013. Her dedication to nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on countless students, embodying the essence of compassion and inspiration.
As a loving mother to her two sons, Robbie and Patrick, Tina was always present at their little league games and basketball courts, sharing in their joys and achievements. Family vacations were a treasured tradition, marked by joyful trips to Disney and memorable adventures to various Major League Baseball games, Cooperstown, and the beautiful landscapes of Maine. Tina also loved the time she shared with her family at PawSox games, a tradition they held dear. Tina's warmth extended beyond her family; she cherished the bonds formed with her close friends, including Jamie, Joanne, Diane, and Robin, who steadfastly supported her throughout her journey with Alzheimer's. Their regular outings for ice cream-simple moments filled with laughter and companionship-were among the joys she held closest.
Tina will be remembered for her loving spirit and radiant presence that brightened the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Walter A. "Wally" Donoghue; her sons, Robert Donoghue and his wife Samantha of Mansfield, and Patrick Donoghue and his wife Meghan of East Granby, CT; her beloved grandchildren, Drew, Ryder, Keegan, and Nolan Donoghue; her sister, Janet Clay of Monument Beach; her brother, Anthony Jeffery and his wife Mary of Monument Beach; her sister-in-law, Camilla J.
