Lakeville Arts Council awards funding to cultural programs
LAKEVILLE — Lakeville Arts Council members have awarded 21 grants totaling $8,845 for cultural programs in the Lakeville and Middleboro areas.
The grants were awarded from funds distributed to Lakeville by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that supports public programs and educational activities in the arts, sciences, and humanities.

The grants were awarded to: Easton Children’s Museum at Lakeville Public Library, Fossil Discoveries, $375; Lakeville Public Library, Children, The Poop Museum, $600; Lakeville Public Library, Children, Flying High Dogs, $540; Lakeville Public Library, Teen Needle Felting, Pop Up Art, $325.
Also, Lakeville Public Library, Adults, An Evening with Aine Minogue, $750; Lakeville Public Library, Adults, Greeting Card Craft Class, $300; Lakeville Public Library, Matt York, Highwaymen Songs and Stories, $500; Lakeville Public Library, Balloons and Bubbles with Ed, $380.
Also, Lakeville Historical Society, Early American Art and Life, 19th century, $250; Lakeville Historical Society, Deborah Sampson and Revolutionary Army, $250; Rita Parisi at Lakeville Council on Aging, Mother’s Day Lunch Women of ’76, $300.
