Find a new-to-you Halloween costume at library swap

MIDDLEBORO -- The Middleboro Public Library encourages young trick or treaters to think green as they plan their colorful Halloween outfits by recycling.

The library is accepting donations of gently used kids costumes and accessories. Everyone who donates will receive a ticket to “shop the swap” early.

Donations can be brought to the children’s room when the library is open.

Families are invited to the annual costume swap event on Saturday, Oct. 3. Those who have donated costumes can attend from 10 to 11 a.m. to check out the submissions and have the first chance to pick out a new costume.

Public hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. No donation is necessary to pick a costume during the public hours.

The event is not limited to those looking to swap costumes.

Children can play games, make crafts, enjoy music and light refreshments.
