MIDDLEBORO — Local author and Maynard firefighter Michael Parr will lead an interactive reading of his book, “A Firehouse’s Night Before Christmas’’ at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at the Middleboro Public Library.

In the story, firefighters respond to a fire on Christmas Eve. Those attending can learn about fire escape plans, smoke alarms and can follow along with a fire safety song. 

Parr will be available for book signing at the end of the event.
