Road Work Scheduled Lakeville
LAKEVILLE — Roadway work is expected to begin weather permitting on Margeaux Drive, Tinkham Lane, Ashley Place and the portion of Howland Road from the Freetown town line to the railroad tracks, on Thursday, Aug. 8.
Contractors will be using the mill and overlay process on the existing road. The top course of pavement is scheduled to be laid beginning on Thursday, Aug. 15, weather permitting.
Residents who live on the roads being worked on are asked to locate and flag existing sprinkler heads within ten feet of the roadway edge. Lakeville is not responsible for replacing sprinkler heads or broken systems during construction, but every effort will be made to avoid them if they are flagged.
Police details will be onsite throughout the project to assist with traffic flow and safety. There will be a rough road surface between the time of milling and paving, please use caution when traveling. The top course of pavement will require additional time to set, resulting in delays and temporary periods of limited access. We are asking residents to exercise patience and use alternate routes whenever possible.
Updated information will be posted on the town website and the Highway Department Facebook page.
