LAKEVILLE — A woman escaped without injury following a house fire at Chrisjenn Brooke Lane in Lakeville Wednesday afternoon Feb. 19.

Smoke was showing from the home when firefighters arrived just after 2:30 p.m., Lakeville Fire Chief Michael O’Brien said. 

Firefighters made an aggressive attack, O’Brien said, and kept the house from being destroyed.

The Red Cross helped the resident with shelter until more permanent arrangements could be made, the chief said.

Freetown, Acushnet, Rochester, and Berkley fire departments provided assistance on the scene. Taunton Fire Department provided station coverage.
