Turning Point’s “Taste of Our Towns” upcoming celebration still has a few spaces available for interested participants in the food service industry. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at the Wareham/New Bedford Elks Lodge, 2855 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.

This community event marks the 20th anniversary of the development of Turning Point by featuring restaurants from its south coast service area of Middleboro, Buzzards Bay, Carver, Marion, Mattapoisett,  Rochester and Wareham.  Food Service businesses who have already committed to attend include Turk’s, Oxford Creamery, Krua Thai, Ella’s, Mezza Luna and Quahog Republic.

Participating restaurants are bringing a “Taste” of one of their “community favorite” menu items for sampling, while those attending will purchase tickets at the door for samples. Other activities during the evening’s festivities include music, raffles and door prizes.

“There are still some spaces available for those wishing to participate”, said Turning Point Executive Director Shirley Santos, “we’re fortunate to have so many generous businesses in our south coast communities”.
