Summer concerts provide music to residents' ears

Chilling out on a summer evening while listening to music represents one of the season’s ultimate treats. Middleboro and Lakeville residents can do just that with both towns scheduling a series of performances throughout July.

In Middleboro, concerts are held from 6 to 8 p.m.Thursdays on the town hall lawn.

Here’s what scheduled for July.

Concept of a Plan performs July 2.  They describe their style as punk and alternative rock.

Billy Mulligan Jr. will entertain July 9. His music combines pop, R&B, rock and folk..

Shed Inspectors will be featured July 16.They cover classic rock from the 1990s to today.

Otto’s Underground will perform July 23. Their genre is classic rock.

Four summer concerts are scheduled for Tuesdays in July, the Lakeville Arts Council has announced.

All concerts take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Center Stage, located between the Lakeville Public Library and Bedford Street.

On July 7, Otto’s Underground will perform. They are a classic rock band.

On July 14, in a concert sponsored by the Lakeville Arts Council and the Lakeville Public Library, PanNeubean will perform.

The group celebrates the versatility of the steelpan. Those attending are encouraged to wear tropical attire.

On July 21, Terraplane Lane Band will entertain with reinvention of classic sounds.

On July 28, the Georgia Johnson Band brings together four musicians with backgrounds in funk, jazz, punk, musical theatre, pop, and rock to create one sound.
