MIDDLEBORO --- Middleboro has been awarded $50,000 from the state to help identify potential lead in water lines.
The award will help the town comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Improvements, which aims to regulate lead and copper in water systems.
The award funding was part of nearly $1.5 million in grant awards to help support local infrastructure projects.
Grants were awarded to transportation, clean energy and resilience projects in 30 communities across the state.
