LAKEVILLE — Doug Forbes, a retired local coordinator of the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, recently conducted an emergency preparedness workshop at the Mullein Hill Christian Academy in Lakeville.

The class studied the importance of having an emergency preparedness plan. Students also learned the importance of having disaster supplies kits in their home, vehicle and at work. 

The speaker recommended that everyone have their own emergency plans and kits. He suggested ordering the free Federal Emergency Management Agency’s publication: “Are you Ready,’’ which he described as “the most comprehensive publication of its kind available today.’’
