MIDDLEBORO – Area veterans are invited to a meeting explaining benefits that are part of the state’s Hero Act.

The meeting will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Elks Lodge, 25 High St., Middleboro.

State Rep. Norman Orrall and Matthew Deacon, general counsel for the Executive Office of Veterans Services, will discuss provisions of the act and their impact on veterans. Refreshments will be served.
