MIDDLEBORO — Learn to sculpt with clay at the Introduction to Pottery Workshop: Creating Mini Sculptures at Soule Homestead. 

The workshop will be run by Dave Kraemer, owner of Dave’s Pottery in Lakeville. 

In this class, participants will learn basic pottery techniques such as wedging, pinch pots, scoring and slipping, and carving.

Students can create animals, people, imaginative creatures or whatever they like. Pieces will be taken by the instructor and fired in the studio to set the clay. Pick-up will be at the farm.

Participants can leave their pieces as is or paint them at home. All ages welcome. This class is for adults and children ages 7 and up  accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This is not a drop-off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Workshop fee is $35 for Soule Homestead members, $45 for non-members. Materials fee is $5. The workshop will be held in the West classroom. Pre-registration is required as space is extremely limited.
