LAKEVILLE — Learn more about mosquitoes at the Lakeville Garden Club meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at the Lakeville Senior Center, Dear Crossing.

Plymouth County Entomologist Educator Blake Dinius will present  “The Truth About Mosquitoes,’’ sharing the facts and debunking misinformation about the pesky little creatures. 

The shared horticultural exhibit is a favorite “keepsake plant.” Those attending may bring a photo or a piece of the plant.

Refreshments will be provided by Johnna Rowley, Joanne Pritcher and Jean Michael.

Co-Presidents Teri Peterson and Cathy Ryan thanked the club membership and the public for supporting the successful annual spring plant sale and scholarship fundraiser Saturday, May 11. 

The proceeds allow the club to provide free monthly programs to the public, care for town gardens and planters, and provide an annual $1,000 scholarship.

Meetings are free, open to the public and accessible. Membership is not limited to Lakeville residents.
