Year's final Lakeville Historical Society open house Sept. 20

LAKEVILLE -- The Lakeville Historical Society will have its final open house of 2026 on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m.at the museum  at 442 Bedford St., Lakeville.

A special exhibit of historical event paintings by summer resident Art Steinberg will be on display. Past President Brian Reynolds and Joe Silvia were cataloguing the group of paintings that Reynolds had asked Steinberg to paint. When Reynolds died, Silvia continued and completed the task. 

The event is free and open to the public and  all three buildings will be open.

Exhibits include including the expanded Ted Williams materials, Lakeville's first new Maxim Engine 3, the trolley system, veterans’ items and other features.
