February vacation week events at Middleboro Public Library

MIDDLEBORO — Looking for plans during school vacation week? Middleboro Public Library has a number of events geared towards kids scheduled.

Mobile Quest S.T.E.M. will run a Robot Ninja Warrior program for kids ages 7-12 on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. Participants will learn to write code that moves robots through an obstacle course. Call the library at 508-946-2470 or email ameyer@sailsinc.org to register.

Award winning storyteller Charlot Lucien will provide a bilingual performance of Haitian stories for all ages on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. Lucien is the author of five storytelling CDs in Haitian Creole and French as well as the book “My Storytelling Journey: From Rural Settings in Haiti to Urban Settings in New England.”

Families are invited for a game of “Book Bingo” on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m. with the chance to earn prizes. No registration is required.

Kara Andrews from Art on the Spot will lead a henna workshop for teens on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. Explore the history, application and different types of cultural henna styles. The event is open to ages 11 to 18. Call the Library at 508-946-2470 or email cdargeli@sailsinc.org to register.
