Falmouth man charged with breaking and entering at Lakeville hardware store
LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Police Department arrested and charged a Falmouth man in connection to a break-in Sunday night.
After responding to a burglary alarm at Ace Hardware at 352 Bedford St., officers identified Kevin Lord as the suspect in the Dec. 7 incident.
When they arrived at the store, the Lakeville police found an unoccupied running vehicle outside. They searched the surrounding area and located about $3,000 worth of power tools including chainsaws, battery-powered tools, leaf blowers and compressors.
The Middleborough Police K-9 unit and the Plymouth County Sheriff's Office's Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted at the scene.
Shortly after, officers stopped a rideshare vehicle in which Lord was a passenger. He was taken into custody without incident.
Lord was charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and malicious destruction of property over $1,200. He was arraigned Monday in Wareham District Court.
