HISTORICAL COMMISSION

The Middleborough Historical Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Select Board Room at the Middleborough Town Hall, Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, on the application of Bo McMahon for a permit to demolish a building (“VFW”) at 12 Station Street. Anyone desiring to be heard on this matter should appear at the time and place designated.

This meeting is a result of the previous determination, by the Historical Commission, that 12 Station Street is a Significant Structure, in accordance with the Middleborough Structure Demolition Bylaw.

As an outcome of this hearing, the Commission will explore whether the building shall be determined a “Preferably Preserved Significant Structure” as defined by the Town of Middleborough’s Structure Demolition Bylaw, Sections 3.3-3.6 or if a permit for demolition will be granted.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on 5/27/2025 at 6:30pm at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on a Notice of Intent. The applicant, the Town of Lakeville, is proposing a 17,040sf fire station with access to Bedford Street, onsite parking, stormwater management, utility connections, onsite wastewater treatment system, and appurtenant structures.
The project is located at 28 Precinct Street and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 027 Block 002 Lot 028.

The LAKEVILLE PLANNING BOARD pursuant to the Town of Lakeville Code Bylaws, Chapter 270, §270-6.7, will hold a Public Hearing on THURSDAY, May 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street.
