MIDDLEBORO — Middleboro resident and veteran John Kenney was awarded $5,000 to help make improvements to his home through the Help on the Homefront campaign.

The effort, sponsored by InHouse Cannabis, encourages veterans to share their stories of why they hope to  receive financial assistance to help offset costs of housing challenges or vital home improvements.

Kenney was selected as the Massachusetts winner. He was honored during a presentation Saturday, Feb. 15 at Panacea Wellness in Middleboro.

He will use the funds to help renovate his kitchen to make it more functional.
