Brighton woman arrested in Middleboro on meth trafficking charges

MIDDLEBORO A Brighton woman was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 20 on multiple drug charges, including methamphetamine trafficking, following an investigation at a local hotel, according to Middleboro Police Chief Robert Ferreira.

Olivia Noemi Folsom, 49, was charged with trafficking in 18 grams or more of methamphetamine and possession of a Class B drug. She also had an active warrant for failure to appear in Wareham District Court.

Police responded to a hotel on East Clark Street around 11:45 a.m. after learning Folsom was staying there. Officers Corey Bailey, Owen Carrel and Sophia Barnard took her into custody without incident.

During the investigation, officers reportedly found approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine, a small bag of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Folsom was arraigned Wednesday in Wareham District Court and held on $2,500 bail.
