LAKEVILLE — No matter the weather, Lakeville Town Hall will soon be adorned with snow people bearing uplifting messages through the Snowman Jubilee Act of Kindness project.

Community members can purchase and design a snowperson to be displayed at Lakeville Town Hall to raise money for the Lakeville Animal Shelter. 

Starting Nov. 8, people can buy a snowperson for $25. Designs can then be created on the 31-inch corrugated plastic template, with a message of kindness and/or holiday wishes.

This is an opportunity to promote businesses or groups, and the project can be done individually or as a family.

Snow people will be displayed on Lakeville Town Hall lawn from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31. A party will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 to view the displays. Hot cocoa will be available.

First, second and third place winners will be announced.

Corporate sponsors are being sought to defray the costs. Sponsorships are available at the $100, $200 and $300 levels.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lakeville Animal Shelter and all proceeds will benefit the shelter.
