Middleboro Veteran’s Day parade set for Nov. 11

MIDDLEBORO — Honoring those who have served, the Middleboro Veteran’s Day parade will take place on Monday, Nov. 11. The parade will start and end in the Town Hall parking lot on Nickerson Ave. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Following the parade there will be a ceremony in the Town Hall auditorium. The town will crown Paul Kreitzburg as Middleboro Veteran of the Year and the Burt Wood School of Performing Arts as the Middleboro Veterans Services Organization of the Year. 

The parade route is as follows:

Leave the Middleboro Town Hall parking lot by taking a right on to Union St. Turn right on to Nickerson Ave. Turn left on South Main St. Turn left on Center St. to John Glass Square/Everett Square. Turn left on to High St. Turn left on Pearl St. Turn right on to Center St. Turn right on to South Main St. Turn right on to Nickerson Ave and back to the Town Hall parking lot.

The town will also host a few other upcoming events to thank former military personnel for their service. On Sunday, Nov. 10, the Boy Scouts from Troop 20 will host a breakfast for Veterans from 8 to 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Parish Hall. All veterans are welcome. 

A Veteran’s Day lunch for seniors will be hosted at the Middleboro Council on Aging Thursday, Nov. 14. Veterans eat for free and may bring a guest for $5. Attendees must call 508-946-2490 to RSVP.
