Sealed Bids for the “Clear Pond Park Water Main Installation” project will be received at the Select Board Office at 346 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347, no later than 3:00 PM prevailing time, on Wednesday September 18, 2024, at which point the bids will be opened and read. No electronic bids will be accepted. The work includes but is not limited to the installation of approximately 1,700 linear feet of 4-inch ductile iron water main through Clear Pond Park, a live tap connection to an existing 16-inch water main on Rhode Island Road, connection to an existing pump house at Clear Pond Park, tree-clearing within the limits of water main work, and the installation of lock boxes to water spigots at Ted Williams Camp. Contractors bidding on the project must be licensed to perform work for the City of Taunton Water Department. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained by emailing Tracie Craig-McGee at tcraig-mcgee@lakevillema.org on September 4, 2024. The Town of Lakeville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, as well as any part of any or all bids, deemed not in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids.

The LAKEVILLE PLANNING BOARD pursuant to the Town of Lakeville Code Bylaws, Chapter 270, §270-6.7, will hold a Public Hearing on THURSDAY, September 12, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street. The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to receive information and public comment on the following Site Plan Review application:
2 & 4 Bedford Street – The applicant, Twin Boys, LLC, seeks Site Plan Review and Approval for a proposed business park consisting of four (4) buildings, and associated site improvements. Chapter 40A, Section 5 as amended, the Planning Board will hold two (2) separate public hearings on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 beginning at 6:45 PM and 7:00 PM, respectively, within the Select Board’s Meeting Room, Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue, Middleborough, MA, for the purpose of providing interested parties with an opportunity to comment on the proposed amendments to the Town of Middleborough Zoning By-laws as follows:
6:45 PM - MBTA Multi-Family Zoning (WGO) Overlay - Establish a Multi-Family Housing Overlay District in compliance with the Commonwealth’s Multi-Family Housing Requirement for MBTA Communities (M.G.L. Chapter 40A, Section 3A), as follows: (1) add to Section 2.2 (“Overlay Districts”) the West Grove Multi-Family Housing Overlay District (WGO) (2) amend Section 2.4 (Zoning Map) to include the West Grove Multi-Family Housing Overlay District (WGO); and (3) add to Section 8.0 (“Overlay District Regulations”) a new Section 8.7 entitled “West Grove Multi-Family Housing Overlay District (WGO),”

** In the GUA District and the GUB District, any Lot with ten (10) acres or more in size, the Zoning Board of Appeals, upon a finding that additional height is reasonably necessary for the use of a structure and will not be detrimental to the neighborhood may authorize by special permit a structure not to exceed sixty-five (65) feet in height.
