MIDDLEBORO — Celtics Dance Team member and former Miss Massachusetts Elizabeth Pierre will offer a master class Wednesday, June 28 at The Burt Wood School of Performing Arts, 133 Center St., Middleboro. 

 

The class will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Students ages 8 to 19 will learn a dance combination, work on technique, and speak to Pierre about her career as a dancer. 

 

In 2021, Pierre became the first Miss Massachusetts of Haitian descent and spent her year empowering youth-led social change across the state. She had the honor of placing second runner-up at the 100th anniversary Miss America competition, the closest Massachusetts has placed to the crown in 20 years. 

 

After performing with multiple dance companies in both Upstate New York and Massachusetts, she became a professional dancer with the NBA. Currently, she performs at TD Garden as part of the first ever co-ed Boston Celtics Dance Team.
