Celebrate Earth Day at Betty’s Neck April 23

LAKEVILLE — This Earth Day, give back to the planet with the Conservation Commission’s help.

Earth Day festivities at Betty’s Neck from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23 will celebrate the natural features of the area.

The commission is giving away 100 pin oak trees as part of its Earth Day celebration.

Attendees will be able to take hikes and nature walks throughout the area.

Local nature experts including Conservation Commission member Nancy Yeatts, will be in attendance to provide guidance and share knowledge about ways visitors can enjoy the environment. 

Children’s activities will also be available, including nature-based arts and crafts, planting seeds in cups, and archery lessons with Aaron Best of the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.
