The wait for Santa will come to a close at 65th annual Middleboro Christmas Parade
Event Date
MIDDLEBORO — The 65th annual Middleboro Christmas Parade will see a festive theme of “Waiting for Santa” this year.
The parade will begin at the Middleboro Town Hall at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29. The longstanding Middleboro tradition will have plenty of festive floats and more. Afterwards, attendees can visit the Peter H. Peirce Homestead to meet with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The parade route will be as follows:
The parade begins at the Middleboro Town Hall parking lot, and will take a right on to Union Street. From there, it will turn right on to Nickerson Avenue, and left on South Main Street.
Then, the parade will move to Centre Street to John Glass Square and Everett Square, where it will move South down High Street to Oak Street, then back to Centre Street and will follow its path to the starting point of the Town Hall Parking Lot.
After the parade, attendees can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the carriage house of the Peter H. Peirce Homestead, located at 132 North Main St. The Chrismtas meet and greet is free of charge, and organized by the Friends of the Middleboro Public Library.
Judges will give awards to the best floats of the parade before it kicks off on Saturday.
This year’s Grand Marshall of the parade will be longtime Middleboro resident and business owner, Bob Saquet.
Attendees can keep an eye out for Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will be riding on a firetruck at the end of the parade’s lineup.
In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30.
