Drive through the holiday
MIDDLEBORO — Drive through more than 500,000 holiday lights and inflatable displays at a holiday event at Peirce Playground this month.
The Middleboro Parks Department is hosting their “Holiday Lights at the Park” event through Dec. 19-21. Residents may visit the drive-thru holiday display from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 per vehicle, but are a recommended donation. All proceeds will benefit the department’s programs. Only cash is allowed for attendees who purchase tickets at the gate.

Share family recipes
LAKEVILLE — The Lakeville Library Genealogy Club will hold a Holiday Social on Saturday, Dec. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
At the holiday social, attendees can celebrate the holiday season by sharing a favorite family recipe. The event is open to all who are interested in family research, no registration or prior attendance to the club is required. For more information, contact Cynthia Souza at csouza@sailsinc.org.

Very Merry Middleboro
MIDDLEBORO — The Very Merry Dickens Carolers are coming to Middleboro for a free caroling performance this month.
On Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m., the Peter H. Peirce Homestead group will be hosting a holiday concert at the Middleboro Town Hall. The Very Merry Dickens Carolers will deliver a free caroling performance under the backdrop of the Grand Ball Room of Town Hall, located at 10 Nickerson Ave.
The Very Merry Dickens Carolers are a group of professional singers who specialize in four-part harmony. Their repertoire includes classic carols and festive favorites. Over the years, the Carolers have performed for audiences at venues including The Today Show, Central Park in New York City, and several Candlelight Strolls across Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The Peter H. Peirce Homestead is a business program of The Friends of the Middleboro Public Library, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization focused on promoting literacy, education, culture and community engagement.
The Town’s Grand Ballroom is located at 10 Nickerson Ave., Middleboro.
