Stories of Hope

MIDDLEBORO — For Hope Anderson, purple isn’t just special because it’s her favorite color. It’s also the color of Prematurity Awareness Month.
The Middleboro resident was born premature, at 1 pound 3 ounces. Now, at 23, she is enrolled at Tufts University and pursuing a pre-med degree with hopes of becoming a doctor.
She is collaborating with Coffee Milano Cafe to celebrate Prematurity Awareness Month during November.
Anderson encourages area residents to order a vanilla and cinnamon cold brew with lavender cold foam, a purple-hued drink, and post a photo or video with the drink.
She asks people to include their story of hope regarding themself, family or friends who were born premature.
