MIDDLEBORO — The third annual scavenger hunt run by businesses in downtown Middleboro was “very successful”, said Coffee Milano co-owner Gunnar Gudmundsson.

“We had quite a few people” taking part in the scavenger hunt and “a lot of businesses” participated as well, Gudmundsson said. “I think it was very successful.”

The scavenger hunt took place from Dec. 14-18, and participants went to different shops in Middleboro with the goal of finding hidden images in each shop. Once all the images were found, participants could then enter into a raffle, which was conducted live on Facebook on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

At the raffle, baskets containing different goods from the different shops that participated in the scavenger hunt were raffled off.

Gudmundsson said that approximately $2,000 worth of goods were spread across seven baskets, and that the seven baskets were raffled off. Not all of the winners had picked up their baskets yet, Gudmundsson said.

Stores that participated in the scavenger hunt included: Massgrailz Vintage, Vintage Vault, Freitas Liquors, Coffee Milano Cafe, CLM Designs, Take Heart Tattoo, Italian Gem Cafe, The Charred Oak Tavern, The Flying Banana, The Custom Decorator, Gregory Scot Jewelers, Riley's Barber Shop, Revibed, Pushin Ink Tattoo, Main Ingredient, and Rekindled Home.
