MIDDLEBORO — The Middleboro Rotary donated nearly $2,000 worth of gift cards in December to the migrants living in Middleboro, said Kevin “Quack” Quackenbush, the Rotary Assistant District Governor for District 4.

Several groups and individuals contributed funds which were used to purchase the gift cards, Quackenbush said, including the Middleboro Rotary, the North Congregational church, the Church of Our Saviour, The KW ‘American Dream’ team, and “Santa’s Elves and Helpers who sought no recognition.”

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of the individuals and organizations who generously contributed to the gift card… effort for the refugees currently residing in the hotel in our town,” Quackenbush said. “Your generosity exemplifies the true spirit of community, solidarity, and compassion.”
