Peaceful Meadows closes after 35 years

The Peaceful Meadows building is now closed up.
MIDDLEBORO — The iconic Peaceful Meadows ice cream stand in Middleboro is closed until further notice, according to a voice mail left at the business.
The business sign reads “Since opening April 16, 1977 we’ve been blessed with loyal customers and a great staff. Thank you for 45 fabulous years.’’
The stand was known for its variety of ice cream flavors and for being open year-round, closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Attempts to reach Peaceful Meadows management were unsuccessful.
