Nursing home director nationally recognized for leadership
MIDDLEBORO– Kristine M. Donnelly, executive director of the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home was one of 39 nursing home administrators from across the country to be recognized for facility leadership excellence by the American College of Health Care Administrators this May.
Donnelly is the recipient of the national Eli Pick Facility Leadership award. Eligibility for this award is based on three years of skilled nursing facility survey data, including the health, fire safety, and complaint surveys and top performance on quality measures, according to the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home.
“Skilled nursing centers across our country are at the forefront of providing care,” said American College of Health Care Administrators President Bob Lane.
“Despite ongoing challenges, regulatory burdens, and limited resources, these exceptional leaders and their teams have shown that they can achieve outstanding results.”
The Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award was introduced in 2008 to honor Pick, a former executive director of the Ballard Rehabilitation Center in Des Plaines, Illinois.
This award is presented annually to executive directors who are dedicated to advancing professionalism and leadership in long term care.
