Middleboro resident Samia named Fairhaven interim town administrator
MIDDLEBORO — Middleboro resident George Samia has been selected as the acting town administrator for Fairhaven.
Fairhaven select board members voted Samia as an interim replacement for Angeline Lopes Ellison, who left in October 2024 when she and the select board reached what was described as “a mutually acceptable separation,’’ according to published reports.
Samia owns GGS Consulting, which is described as offering municipal management and financial consulting services to towns.
He served as finance director and town accountant for Foxboro from 2019 to 2023; town administrator and chief financial officer for East Bridgewater from 2004-2019; and town accountant for East Bridgewater from 1994 to 2004.
He will serve for no more than 180 days. His position could end sooner if the town hires a permanent town administrator before that time.
