Middleboro natives join the police force

MIDDLEBORO — Two new recruits have been appointed to the Middleboro Police Department.
Police Officers Victoria O'Day and Corey Bailey were appointed to Middleboro Police Department by the Middleboro Select Board on June 23. O’Day and Bailey graduated from the 21st Recruit Officer Class of the Randolph Police Academy on Friday, June 13, after a ceremony at UMass Boston, wrote the department.
Both officers are Middleboro residents and Middleboro area high school graduates.
These new officers will fill positions left empty by retirement, said Middleboro Town Manager James McGrail during a select board meeting on June 23.
The recruits began their field training with the department on June 16.
