Sealed bids for furnishing the Water System Improvements at Town Facilities Project will be received at the Select Board Office, 346 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347 until Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 3:00 PM, at which point the bids will be opened and read. Electronic bids will not be accepted. A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at Old Town Hall, 2 Precinct St, Lakeville, MA 02347 on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:30 AM. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged, but not required. In general and without limitation the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the installation of approximately 150 linear feet of 1 ¼-inch copper service tubing at the Old Town Hall site and the demolition of an abandoned pump house, removal of the existing utility pole and existing fence in Ted Williams Camp around the building, and the relocation of an existing 2” PE water main. The LAKEVILLE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS, acting in accordance with MASS GENERAL LAWS CHAPTER 40B, as amended, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. in the LAKEVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY, 4 PRECINCT STREET, upon the petition of Simonds Hills LLC, for a Comprehensive Permit pursuant to M.G.L., Chapter 40B to construct two-hundred (200) units with forty-four (44) units to consist of single family homes, forty-six (46) duplex cottages catering to an older demographic, and eleven (11) ten (10) unit condominium buildings, of which not less than fifty (50) of such units shall be restricted as affordable for low-or moderate-income persons or families as required under the terms of the applicable state regulations and guidelines. The project is located off of Freetown Street and composed of six (6) separate Lakeville Assessor’s parcels; Map 034, Block 002, Lots 001, 002, 011, 012 and Map 035, Block 001, Lots 002A and 004.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) shall review written comments and then determine whether to grant or deny authorization for this activity pursuant to Massachusetts Hazardous Waste Regulation 310 CMR 30.000, When the department either grants or denies the license, and you are aggrieved by this action, you may request an adjudicatory hearing. A request for a hearing must be made in writing and postmarked within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the decision.
