ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for procurement of Two (2) Substation Power Transformers will be received at the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department (MGED), 32 South Main Street, Middleborough, Massachusetts 02346 until 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2026 at which place and time said bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids must be received in triplicate, along with a thumb drive, in a sealed envelope marked “BID FOR SUBSTATION POWER TRANSFORMERS, SOUTH MIDDLEBOROUGH SUBSTATION, MGED BID NO. 905555-02”.
This bid is for procurement of material only.
The contract documents may be examined and obtained by emailing bids@mged.com or at the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department, 32 South Main Street, Middleborough, Massachusetts 02346 during normal weekday business hours between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check payable to the Town of Middleborough for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, or accompanied by a bid bond in like amount of a corporate surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The successful bidder must furnish insurance certificates or copies of insurance policies, if required, within ten (10) calendar days of the award.
If the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract and furnish the required forms within ten (10) business days following delivery to the bidder of the Owners Notice of Award, the bidder may forfeit the bid surety, at the option of the Town.
Bids shall be prepared, considered and the contract awarded in accordance with MGL Chapter 164, Section 56D and all statutes governing such contracts. Every bid shall be on forms furnished by the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department. Bids submitted on other forms may be rejected.
All bids must be made on the Bid Form provided in these specifications, unless additional space is required for terms and conditions or technical deviations, in which case, a supplementary sheet on bidders letterhead or quotation form may be used, and shall become a part of the Bid Form. The Middleborough Gas & Electric Department specifically reserves the right to reject any bid not made on the form provided, to waive any irregularity or informality, to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department, Middleborough, Massachusetts.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
According to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 40 of the Wetlands Protection Act, there will be a hearing on a Notice of Intent submitted by Rousseau’s RV Center, for the proposed construction of a parking lot entrance off Rhode Island Road which proposes 2,380 sf of bordering vegetated wetland disturbance. A replication area of 4,775 sf is proposed which provides a replication ratio of 2:1. Also an expansion of an existing gravel parking area with associated retaining wall and grading within 100’ of a bordering vegetated wetland is proposed. The location of the project is 150 Bedford Street, Lakeville (Map 025 Block 006 Lots 010 & 10A). The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:30p.m. at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford St., Lakeville.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on 2/24/2026 at 6:30pm at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on a Notice of Intent. The applicant, Kody Fabrowski, is proposing to construct a single-family dwelling within the buffer zone to a wetland resource area.
The project is located at off Montgomery Street and Green Lot Circle and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 016 Block 005 Lot 001.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch 131, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Lakeville Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing on February 24th at 6:30pm at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, on an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation (ANRAD). The applicant, 30 Howland Road, LLC, is proposing delineation and confirmation of wetland resource area boundaries, no work is proposed at this time.
The project is located at 30 Howland Road and is also identified as Assessor’s Map 9, Block 2, Plot 1.

CH. 131, s.40, the Wetlands Protection Act, to review an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation to confirm 2,489 L.F. of bordering vegetated wetlands and 3,294 L.F. of top of bank of two intermittent streams, off Thompson Street, Map 6, Lots 3636, 4495, 5238, 5296, 6116, 6146, & 6176 and Map 14, Lot 582, 1323, 1362, & 5264. Hearing is requested by The Three Musketeers, LLC. Hearing will be held February 19, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Select Board Meeting Room, at the Town Hall, 10 Nickerson Avenue and via remote.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The LAKEVILLE COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE (CPC) pursuant to the Lakeville General Bylaws, Community Preservation Committee, Section 2, will conduct a public informational hearing on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. at the LAKEVILLE POLICE STATION, 323 BEDFORD STREET, regarding the Lakeville CPC Plan. The purpose of the hearing will be to provide public input session and receive public comment on the Lakeville CPC Plan.
The Plan can be viewed on the Town of Lakeville Community Preservation Committee’s web page.

PUBLIC HEARING
On Thursday February 19, 2026, Lakeville residents will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on the way CPA (Community Preservation Act) funds will be used both now and into the future.
The CPC (Community Preservation Committee) is appointed as mandated in the Community Preservation Town bylaw and is charged with overseeing the Towns CPA funds, making annual allocations and spending recommendations at Town Meeting.
The CPC reviews projects in 3 different categories:
1. Open Space and Outdoor Recreation
2. Historic Preservation
3. Community Housing
The CPP (Community Preservation Plan) is to be reviewed annually and may be modified in response to changing goals within the Community and the CPA over time
The Public Hearing process allows Lakeville Residents to learn more about the CPA and participate in this process.
A copy of the current Plan will be available at the Hearing as well as on the website (www.lakevillema.org/communitypreservationcommittee)
The public is encouraged to attend the Public Hearing on Thursday February 19, 2026 at the Lakeville Police Station, 323 Bedford Street, 6:30pm.
